Why do I still create art?
I've been creating for a long time, and the only thing I can say why I create... I have no idea, but the reasons are unimportant.
It probably depends on many things. Depending on my mood on a given day, I could say that it's a decision for emotional reasons and easy way to express them in a visual way.
I could say too, I work on understand the world, or a narcissistic coping mechanism with desire to be famous, therapy and etc.
To be honest often I did it for money, but that doesn't mean it is worse art, because creation is my profession and my passion since 30 years, since when I graduated MFA from the Academy of Fine Art in Lódź. Department of Fiber Art.
Every reason is good and true. Anyway, there is an internal compulsion and an internal imperative in me. If I didn't create, I would feel really terrible. I would not be myself.
"“Her work is the perfect blend of minimalist style and richness of a subtle play of lights and shadows, quiet cold and soft tonal taint in a narrow range of colours. Each of Katarzyna’s Fibre Art has its own positively vibrating interplay of lines.
Variety arrangements textures and patterns and the Earth tone colours create a visual dialogue between the Our Earth and us. The compositions of the Textile Arts are very minimalistic, in the layout and way of expression it refers to the Colour Field Painting.“
"Functionality and minimalism. It is a Modern Art."
Extremely aesthetic. The Artist puts emphasis on the functionality of textile art and its cosiness."
"I bought it. I love the art, I hate a noise! It looks spectacularly in headmaster’s office! It is my demonstration of a sustainable lifestyle and concerned for our World. The World without waste. It is an excellent investment of capital, too!"
"Perfect Art for eco-friendly lifestyle lovers,
zero waste art, sustainable designs, contemporary fibre arts."
"Really Minimalistic & Sustainable Decorations"
It would be great to use only traditional natural fibres like cotton, wool, and silk, but it’s not realistic.
Temporarily we can't abuse our land to grow new material. We simply don't have the land / resources to grow enough of them.
So today’s Textile Artist should focus on the recycled fibbers. Therefore, the yarn what I use in my work mostly came from recycled clothes.
My fight for a sustainability is reflected in the reuse of materials in my Fibre Art.
Only then the production of new things (including new works of art) is not senseless.
But It does not reduce the value of my work in any way.
( a fragment of the whole )
I love to create abstract art(Painting, Fibre Art, Textile Art) because it is often the purest form to express the inexpressible for Me.
I synthesize anything that is insignificant, to the bare essentials that the art is most meaningful.
My works are known for its simplicity and independence in style.
I meditatively create simplicity, peace of mind, balance and single-minded focus.
I hope that my Abstract Works are the essence of simplicity, near Minimalism.
My Abstract Visual Art is always mindful and contemplative.
All in the portfolio ...
